- Enter key shape. EU-style keyboards have a tall 7-shaped enter key; US-style have a wide rectangle. Check your old keyboard — a mismatch will not fit your top case.
- Backlight needs motherboard support. If your old keyboard was not backlit, a backlit replacement may not light up.
